What the 21-Point Inspection Covers
The Integrity 21-Point Safety Inspection is designed to evaluate the full garage door system, not just the obvious broken part.
A garage door is the largest moving object in most homes. Many failures begin long before a homeowner notices a problem, so our inspection looks for safety concerns, hidden wear, future failures, performance issues, energy loss, upgrade opportunities, and remaining system lifespan.
- Spring condition, balance, sizing, cycle fatigue, and excessive wear
- Cable fraying, rust, slack, uneven tension, and drum wear
- Roller condition, bearing failure, wobble, flat spots, and track wear
- Track bends, misalignment, loose fasteners, impact damage, and spreading
- Hinges, panels, top section reinforcement, and structural stress
- Opener force, auto-reverse, photo-eye sensors, mounting, and drive system
- Bottom seal, perimeter seals, rust, corrosion, hardware, and fasteners
- Complete system lifecycle assessment and recommended next steps
System Health Score
The System Health Score gives homeowners a clear snapshot of the garage door system’s condition, performance, and safety.
Instead of only saying something is broken, the score helps explain whether the system is excellent, normal for age, showing wear, or at higher risk of failure.
- A / Excellent: system is in top condition
- B / Good: normal wear for age
- C / Fair: noticeable wear or aging
- D / Poor: higher risk of failure and immediate attention recommended
Why This Matters
The goal is to help homeowners make informed decisions. Some repairs are immediate safety concerns. Some are smart recommendations. Others are long-term upgrades that can improve reliability and protect the value of the system.
This process supports the Integrity approach: diagnose the full system, explain what is happening clearly, and help the homeowner choose the right path.
